Gardening as an Athletic Event
If and when the sun ever comes out, many of you will be rushing out into your yards with pent up energy, trying to get those yards and gardens back into shape after the long winter. The Monday after the first sunny weekend is the day we start to see back injuries from those of you that may have “over-done-it” in the garden.
Prepare yourself like an athlete would prior to working in the yard. Stretch those muscles first. Don’t spend a lot of time in one position. Don’t lift more than you are used to. Consider a Chiropractic tune-up in anticipation of extra activity after your winter hibernation.
